Directions to FMZ

Travelling from the NORTH:

• Travel through central Lusaka, along Cairo Rd. heading south to the Kafue (South) roundabout
• Go straight through the roundabout onto Kafue Rd
• Follow Kafue Rd for 3km
• Move into right lane
• Proceed through 1 set of lights (entrance to Makeni Mall is on your right)
• Turn right at the second set of traffic lights onto Makeni Rd (Note: lights are not always working so be careful when turning)
• see below once on  Makeni Rd

Travelling from the EAST:

• Travel through Lusaka along the Great East Rd until you reach the North Roundabout on the North end of Cairo Rd in Lusaka city centre
• Turn left onto Cairo Rd
• Follow instructions as per `From the North`

Travelling from the SOUTH:

• turn left at the second roundabout onto Linda Rd.  (across from the Total Filling Station)
• Follow Linda Road 2.9 km straight through a 4-way intersection. You will see Flying Mission sign
• Continue on this road for 5 km
• Turn right at the next Flying Mission sign and follow the tar
• Drive 3.7 km on this tar road turn then left onto the dirt road at the FMZ sign
• Drive 1.8 km on the dirt road then turn right at the T-junction
• Follow this road for 0.6km
• Turn right and proceed for 400 meters until you see a black gate on your left and the Flying Mission sign to your right

OR

• As you approach Lusaka from the south, turn left at the first set of traffic lights onto Makeni Rd (approx. 4 km after Baobab College on your left and 3 roundabouts)
• See below once on Makeni Rd

Travelling from the WEST:

• Travel east along Mumba/ Mongue Rd towards Lusaka
• After the satellite dishes on your left  at Mwembeshi, look for the large Seed Co factory in a few kms (also on your left)
• 2 km past this factory you will come to the police check point
• turn right onto a dirt road
• Travel approx. 15 km until you reach the T-junction (an electrical sub-station is on the left on the corner)
• Turn right and drive 1 km (on your left you will pass a CMML church)
• look for the FMZ sign on the corner of this side road, then turn left onto this road
• Around 200 m after the church turn left (you`ll see another sign for FMZ)
• follow this road for 1.4 km, passing through a cross roads with a few market stands along either side
• Continue until you see the `Chilongolo Airstrip and Flying Mission Zambia’ sig
• Turn left at this sign and proceed for 300 m until you see a black gate on your left and the Flying Mission sign to your right

Once on MAKENI ROAD:

• Follow Makeni Rd for 10 kms to where the tar road turns left and the road ahead is dirt
• There is the first sign of FMZ
• Continue straight on the dirt road for another 1.6 km, keep left as you pass the ZESCO substation (on the right after 600 m)
• Drive 1 km (on your left you will pass a CMML church)
• look for the FMZ sign on the corner of this side road and turn left onto road
• Around 200 m after the church turn left (you`ll see another sign of FMZ)
• follow this road for 1.4 km, passing through a cross roads with a few market stands along either side
• Continue until you see the `Chilongolo Airstrip and Flying Mission Zambia’ sign
• Turn left and proceed for 300 meters until you see a black gate on your left and the Flying Mission sign on your right
